Photo: Daniel Engvall About this toolkit From candle holders, stools and 3D-printed furniture to schools, high rises and whole cities. Wood is one of few renewable building materials, and Sweden is a frontrunner when it comes to innovation and technical progress. The exhibition in this toolkit showcases 48 contemporary wooden projects in different scales from all over Sweden. The projects have been selected to visualise how architecture, design and urbanism can help reduce the climate impact of buildings and products, and impact development in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

How to use Woodlife Sweden You can use this toolkit to promote Swedish architecture and design, broaden the discussion on sustainable architecture, inspire international colleagues and share knowledge about wood building in Sweden. We recommend that the exhibition is accompanied by talks or workshops – if possible curated jointly with the producing partner organisations and in collaboration with local stakeholders and networks.

Individuals or organisations who would like to show the exhibition should contact the Swedish embassy or consulate in the area.
Ideas for programming The material aims to highlight the strong connection between the development and innovation of the wooden industry in collaboration with architects and designers. To maximize the impact of the exhibition and reach the right target groups, we recommend that you co-organize with relevant local industry partners such as the local or national association for architects/designers, academia, the local municipality, a wood building or forestry organization, developers etc. All depending on the local interests and intended focus for connecting programs.
The Swedish partner organisations and their networks are happy to provide ideas and support you in the planning. Many of the participating architectural offices are also interested in contributing to programs. Please contact the SI for a contact list and contact persons for proposals for seminars themes and participants.

Wood is one of few renewable building materials, and Sweden is a frontrunner when it comes to innovation and technical progress. The exhibition in this toolkit showcases 48 contemporary wooden projects in different scales from all over Sweden. The projects have been selected to visualise how architecture, design and urbanism can help reduce the climate impact of buildings and products, and impact development in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)."

"children": "From candle holders, stools and 3D-printed furniture to schools, high rises and whole cities. Wood is one of few renewable building materials, and Sweden is a frontrunner when it comes to innovation and technical progress. The exhibition in this toolkit showcases 48 contemporary wooden projects in different scales from all over Sweden. The projects have been selected to visualise how architecture, design and urbanism can help reduce the climate impact of buildings and products, and impact development in line with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)."
